I'm a single mum with two dependents. I have put my self through Uni got a full time job and cant save for a deposit for a typical dwelling. I have a HECS debt that is being repaired at a rate that will AT MINIMUM take me until I'm 111 years old to pay off. I'm unsure if a lender/broker will give me a mortgage because of this debt but saving money when more than half my pay goes to pay rent. I have no financial backing from a broken court system that has forced me to live in a location I can't afford or attempt to better my situation for the sort or long term. My kids will more than likely not ever own a home and my future looks like nothing more than educational debt and homelessness.
