I'm 39 years old and live with my husband and two children. I had lived in my rental for 7 and half years for the first 4 there were no visable mould issues. During and after 2020 we tried our best to look for properties to no luck we looked again in 21 and 22 and 23 and 2024. Over 1,000 sorry no you didn't get the property came back to my emails. I received a notice of intention to sell right after rental increase and eviction notice as I couldn't keep up with my rental payments. The mould issues we had affected all of our health greatly and we lived with it for 7 and half years. We could not move had no choice. Luckily we had something come up in a co op and let me tell others please sign up to co op its affordable rent and lovely houses some of them. If it wasn't for this I was touching the edge of Homelessness and with two children very scary. Never have I ever had to experience this and with food having to go to charities on a every 3 day basis. Being knocked back for so many rentals I mean I have never heard this before it's outrageous. And seeing more homeless on the street it's heart breaking. Something needs to be done, Australia just isn't the same anymore.
